1. How early should I arrive to class?
Welcome! If you are taking your first class, we ask that you arrive 15 minutes prior to class. This allows ample time for you to get acquainted with the teacher, the studio, and the Mega.
If you are a returning Scorch badass, please give yourself at least 10 minutes so that you may store your belongings and claim your Mega before class begins.
2. What if I am late?
Simply put, you cannot take class. Arriving early ensures that everyone gets the most out of their Scorch experience.
Life happens, we get it. However, we care about your safety and do not allow late entry to any class. Studio doors are locked once class begins. Please do not disrupt a class that has already started. Thank you for making it your practice to get here early!
3. What should I bring to class?
Bring a smile and your can-do attitude! Grip socks are required. Please bring your own water bottle and towel. Glass is not permitted in the studio.
4. What should I leave at home?
Most importantly, try to leave behind doubts and nerves! You are now part of the Scorch family, and you are in excellent hands with our skilled teachers. You’ve got to be a beginner before you can be anything else!
Please remove jewelry and piercings. These can easily damage our Megas, and that would be a Mega bummer.
NO cell phones are allowed to be out in the studio space. NO exceptions. Please store your phone in storage container on your Mega if you must bring it inside. This is your time, and your neighbors’ time. Make the most of this opportunity to disconnect!
5. What should I wear?
Wear comfortable, breathable clothes in which you can easily move. Please make sure all clothing is free of metal/buttons/pins that can damage the Mega or cause you unnecessary discomfort. We require that all clients wear a top that meets the waistline of your pants/shorts – no sports bras, men must wear a shirt.
All participants are required to wear grip socks. We have several options available for purchase at the studio. Grip socks must be free of embellishments such as metal or rhinestones. Please help us keep our Megas in optimal condition!
6. Is there a shower at Scorch?
Yes! We have a shower! Towel rentals are $2 each if you forget yours.
7. Do you sell bottled water?
We try to limit our footprint any way we can, so we do not have water for purchase. Please bring your own bottle to fill at the water filling station…or grab your Scorch branded water bottle for sale at the studio!
8. How do I sign up for class?
Select the class/package you’d like to purchase. This will link you to our scheduling software, where you will create a new account/login. Once you have completed your purchase, you may select the class(es) you’d like to take by clicking “Sign Up”. You will use this login to purchase/schedule/cancel classes, view your schedule and purchase history.
9. How do I cancel a class?
Log in and select “Cancel This Class” on your individual schedule. We DO NOT take cancelations via phone or email. You can also do this via the Mindbody app. Click on the link to be directed to the schedule. From there you can log in and cancel your class. Schedule
10. What is your cancelation policy?
For classes starting at 730am and earlier, you must cancel at least 12 hours before class. For classes starting at 8am and later, you must cancel at least 5 hours before class. Classes canceled after the 12 hour/5 hour mark will result in a $20 cancelation fee, charged to your card on file, for autopay members and new client pricing options. 8 visits/month late cancels will result in a loss of a class + $20 cancelation fee. For class packages, late cancels will result in the loss of a class. ALL no-shows will result in a $25 fee. Additionally, class pack holders and RADIATE 8 visits/month forfeit one class for every no-show.
11. How do I use the waitlist?
If class is full, we recommend you jump on the waitlist! If a Megaformer opens up, you will be notified that you have been added to class, if you have signed up for alerts. If you have not signed up for alerts, you must log in and check to see if you have been added to the class. You can be added to class from the waitlist up to 1 hour prior to the class start. If you are added to class and do not show up, the $25 no-show fee applies and you will lose one class (if using a class package). It is your responsibility to check your status on the waitlist. You must enable notifications in your MindBody account in order to receive waitlist alerts.
12. What happens if I get off the waitlist into class and I can’t make it?
If you cannot make it to your waitlisted class, you will need to cancel ASAP. Cancels within the cancelation windows (5 or 12 hours) still count as a late cancel. If you are signed up for alerts you will get a text asking if you can make it. If it is within the 5 or 12 hour cancelation window and you reply “N” you will NOT be taken out of class and you will need to log in and cancel your class. If you reply “Y” it will confirm your attendance. Replying “N” outside of the cancelation windows will take you out of class. Confused yet? ;)
The best thing to do is to cancel yourself OFF the waitlist if you decide you don’t want to risk it.
13. Can I do this workout while I’m pregnant?
While the Lagree Method is perfectly safe and adaptable for women who are pregnant, Scorch Fitness will not accept clients who have not attended regularly prior to pregnancy. We ask that postpartum clients wait at least 3 months and have MD clearance before returning to Scorch. Postpartum clients may require private sessions prior to enrolling in classes.
14. Is there an age requirement?
We require students to be at least 14 years of age. Any student under 18 must have a parent/guardian sign a waiver and accompany them to their first class.
15. How often should I practice at Scorch?
This workout is TOTAL body. You are a badass, but even badasses need to rest. While we suggest 3 times a week to enhance results and allow for proper recovery, each person is different. Listen to your body and find a routine that best suits you. We do not permit clients to take more than one class per day.
16. Do you offer a beginner class?
Every class on the schedule is suitable for beginners! All of our amazing teachers are ready to help you fall in love with Lagree. We also offer privates if that is more your speed. Email us to inquire at info@scorchfitavl.com
